You could also like privacy. The HORROR!

It is a little odd when someone (especially 18-30) doesn't have any social media.  Everyone I know has at least one.  They may not have Facebook, but they're here or on Twitter.

Nooooo. The nutjobs are the ones who are on Facebook.

+Kelvin Williams That's because they're young and stupid. There are plenty of legitimate reasons not to be involved with social media.

AHhaaha "The tech news site Slashdot summed up Der Taggspiegel's story about social networking as 'not having a Facebook account could be the first sign that you are a mass murderer.'"

Deactivated my FB account when G+ started. I've never looked back.

+Logan Cate Of course there are.  For many years I didn't use it at all, but I still had an account.  My job and clearances made me leery of sharing a lot, but now its different.

+Chris Howard I'm tempted to, but I like to feed and tease the Holy Rollers.

+Kelvin Williams You can easily set yourself to "not searchable" on some social networks, and it appears that you don't have an account. You could even be very active on that network, but only to people you have as friends. What then?

+Logan Cate Being a long timer in the ISP/ITSP industry I can tell you this not searchable is a unicorn.  See we deal with these things called Subpoenas, Warrants and NSLs.  Trust me, if an account exists, it will be found.  So for me, when I was mostly silent, it was because I had to be.

  11. Karen Pluto (August 9th, 2012 at 9:17 pm)

I always take myself out of the 'search' but some people are diligent and manage to find me.  I agree with +Kelvin Williams it is a unicorn.
